Catherine McCubbin, LCPC
Therapist, Approved Supervisor
Catherine is an LCPC with 15 years of clinical experience ranging from substance abuse to mood disorders to general life transitions. She has found that many people come to counseling believing they have no power or ability to improve their lives and has made it her mission to help people understand and have compassion for themselves. Catherine believes that it is only when starting from a place of self-compassion can people understand the choices they’ve made so far, the life they want in the future, and steps necessary to bridge the gap.
Her practice utilizes a variety of techniques including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Catherines diverse background includes a population of college students, incarcerated individuals, and many other marginalized groups.
In her spare time, she enjoys music, movies, and the transformative power of nature.
