Adaora has experience working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, relationship issues, career concerns, life transitions, and trauma throughout the entire lifespan. Her therapeutic approach includes Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Feminist/Multicultural Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. She takes a trauma-informed and compassionate approach to counseling.
Adaora is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Human Development and Family
Studies from The Pennsylvania State University, and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology
from Towson University. Adaora’s identity as a Black woman and a native of Prince George’s County, Maryland is integral to her counseling, as she uses a relational-cultural approach to help marginalized individuals navigate their first experiences with therapy. She enjoys working with indiciduals of all backgrounds as a proud ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and a sex-positive therapist.
In her free time, Adaora enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading fiction books,
baking, traveling, and watching reality television.
