Gloria Mensah, LCPC

Gloria Y. Mensah is a licensed psychotherapist and the founder of Treasures of the Heart Therapeutic Services, a private practice based in Silver Spring, Maryland. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, with emphasis in Sociology, Psychology, and African American Studies. With several years of clinical experience, Gloria specializes in serving adults from immigrant backgrounds, first-generation individuals, and women of color—particularly women of African descent. Her therapeutic approach incorporates evidence-based practices to support clients navigating trauma, substance use disorders, stress, anxiety, and depression. In addition to her clinical work, Gloria is passionate about advancing mental health initiatives that promote wellness in the workplace. Gloria’s therapeutic approach leads with the notion that healing begins at awareness of one’s hopes and dreams from the present into the future; and the individual is the center from which healing is directed and achieved.
